View from the Plane!
It has been quite some time since my last post! June was quite a hectic month. I spent a lot of time at airports! Everything is more settled, and I can resume sharing my new finds!
In the last month, I found my new favorite store, Daiso! Daiso sells a variety of house wares, cosmetics, office and stationery supplies. I found some great brush pens, sign pens and pencils there. They have a number of products from Sailor, Platinum, Sakura, Pentel and Tombow. I also found some of the Sun Star Etegami pens at Kinokuniya, so I got a few to try! I shall review them in more detail very soon.
From left to right in the photo are : Sakura Sign Pen, Pentel Sign Pen, Zebra Grey Brush Pen, Sailor Light Black Brush Pen, Sun Star Colour Brush Pens (grey, brown, green, red) and a Daiso twin colour brush pen (light blue).

Finds at Daiso and Kinokuniya!

I was also fortunate to get some Daniel Smith Watercolour Sticks for my birthday! I am really enjoying them. They are slightly more expensive than regular watercolour tubes, however the pigment is very concentrated so I can see them lasting quite a while.

DS Watercolour Sticks
Here is a quick sketch I did using a few of the colours!

I decided to make a sketch wall, as I used to in school. It's always been a way for me to think of of new ideas as I work. I promise to have some more in depth features of the new supplies very soon!

Testing out the new papers and media I got recently.

Happy belated birthday! and looking forward your further experimentation with your new media. I guess I might eventually get around trying the DS watercolor sticks, but for now I got plenty of watercolor options. Cute lucky cat sketch by the way. Got several of them in assorted colors sitting on top of a stereo.
Hi Gen Frien'! Awesome picture as always! I loev the kitty as well.
I'm looking forward to more drawings and more posts! I know you're busy though but you are missed!
B2-kun: Thank you! I was lucky they had a bit of a special going on at the store that day. They are still on the more expensive side compared to a series 2 tube of paint, but I had a lot of fun trying them in the store! They definitely will last a while as well so that is good. I'll have to do a more detailed post on it soon.
I'm glad you like the lucky cat. I used the red etegami pen to draw the one I have by my bedside. :) I have a cute one that is solar powered as well, and it's head and arm move!
Narie: Thank you! Glad you like the kitty too! I should have more drawings soon!
